Its roots have a brownish red bark from which a red dye is obtained. This plant grows well in hilly districts of India.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Colour Imparted<\/strong>:-<br \/>\nIt gives orange to red colour on cellulose fibers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ayurvedic\/Medicinal\/Healing Properties<\/strong> :-<br \/>\nManjistha is considered to be one of the most valuable herbs in Ayurveda. The ancient physician and sage, Charaka has categorized the herb as :- that which improves the complexion and that which reduces fever.
